Our approach with this project was to “flank the competition” by optimising Advanced MP3 Players for clusters of longer tailed keywords around the very competitive core keywords. This definitely worked in their favour as time went on and Google updated their algorithm to easier semantically index sites’ pages for the more common, longer tailed search terms that are more naturally searched by users. We did this by writing informative content on the sites landing pages, and by increasing the authority of the site in general by building relevant and authoritative links.
